KATER206 is going strong with creative mind Marc DePulse and melodic mover Lake Avalon. ‚Trench Goat’ by Marc does opposing to it’s name not sound funny but has a grooving drive created by the chunky bassline and the high pitched synth, that tends to come close to sounding like a seagull. It really heats up a dance floor. ‚Silver’ by Lake is a driving dreamers track coming in with melodies to keep the crowd warm. With ‚Kiss The Frog’ did Marc take a step out to surprise with a special candy. We hear funky modern disco that is infused with a cheesy synth and a rolling bassline, which we know from 80s Italo. Finally did Lake bring ‚Luna’ to us. It is an optimal sound to take out some drive but keep the mind wandering. For sure best to listen to with closed eyes.

Acid, rave and big room antics land back on Berlin’s Katermukke with a split EP from tongue-in-cheek scenesters Marc Depulse and Lake Avalon. Touching on strands of techno, electro and progressive trance the Leipzig native Macc Depulse turns in two techier numbers aimed at the night’s peak moments with some new wave in “Kiss The Frog” and the epic, arpeggio driven “Trench Goat”. Lake Avalon on the other hand is welcomed to the label as a newcomer following a recent outing on Stil Vor Talent and his delivery provides two deeper tracks of percussive melodies and stadium shaking basslines. Shoot for the stars on “Silver”.
