Long-standing west coast deep house stalwarts Salted bring us a split EP from Duwayne Motley, who hails from South Carolina, and Rawbeetz, a native of Toronto in Canada. The former’s ‘Secrets’ opens the EP, an archetypally Salted affair with its bumpin’ deep beat and snatches of rap vocal, followed by the more soulful ‘You & I’ (feat Chris Dodson). RawBeetz then steps up with ‘It’s All About You’, another fairly trad-style deep houser, before ‘Now That I’ plays us out on a slightly wonkier, more leftfield tip – a cut that wouldn’t have sounded out of place on Madhouse.
