Three mixes of the title track plus bonus cut ‘In Child’ make up this EP from Lille native JR From Dallas. In its Original form, ‘Sweet Melody’ is a fragile, haunting piece made up of lingering piano chords, a warping Akabu-ish synth line and a near-falsetto male vocal. The slightly beefed-up Detailed Remix takes us into more straight-up dancefloor deep house territory, while Marius Acke’s Floating Mix is a little lighter on its feet and sunnier in feel. Completing the package, ‘In Child’ is a deep, dubby groove which is most notable for the Martha & The Vandellas bites that are half submerged in the mix.
