To accompany the last remnants of this strange summer is coming the second volume of the Ibiza Bar series, dedicated to a new musical identity.
A dialogue between jazz, classical, downtempo and electronica. Multi-cultural sounds, mystical melodies, emotive vocals and unusual grooves mix into something unique to give an emotional perspective. The Volume 2 includes music from Fed Conti (Feat. La Boutique), PAAX (Tulum) and Made By Pete.
Growing up as a jazz virtuoso musician, Fed Conti is a producer, composer, Hammond organ and piano player. He studied with the legendary American organist Shirley Scott and played with artists like Zucchero, Benny Golson, Little Milton and Buster Williams, releasing on labels like . During his recording artist career he also started to be a valued multi instrumentalist. ‘Coke & Wine’ is a visionary track composed with the singer & songwriter Stefania Tasca of La Boutique. Starting from an original jazz piano composition with a vintage feeling of sound surrounded by dub chords from analogue machines their imagination pushed them to write an emotional song about the touching theme of a mother’s alcoholism and her relationship with her young son. Simply beautiful.
German Wagener and Nicolas Dumont, argentine producers at the head of PAAX Tulum, debut on Rebirth with ‘Slow When You Dance’. With more than 15 years of experience in music production, they released on labels like Sol Selectas, Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings, LNDKHN, Woomoon and more. Latin American artists and producers, world travelers and fusion rhythms lovers, faithless about their latin roots, PAAX has achieved a very own sound thanks to different culture musical inuence and the assembly of natural instruments, with electronic bases and experimental nuances. ‘Slow When You Dance’ was inspired during a long trip through Spain, where they saw different landscapes and experienced tense and beautiful moments that reflect the different musical tones in the track.
Born & Raised in London, James Boore has been writing, producing and djing under the guise of Made by Pete for the last 16 years. The new production ‘Xarraca’ follows his works on labels like Crosstown Rebels, Gruuv, Yoshitoshi and Kerri Chandlers MadTech Records, and is an homage to his favourite beach in Ibiza. Inspired by the likes of Afterlife, Orbital and Sueno Latino he says ‘Ive been visiting the island since the age of 14 with my family and my early experiences there inspired me to follow a career in music. ‘Xarraca’ is a product of my earliest influences and listening back to it (for the 100th time already) brings up fond memories. I hope that translates to the listeners when they hit play’.
