ASK:ME & BEDRUD of Rotfenstermusik combine talents on their forthcoming joint EP Gorilla. Hailing from Munich, the two have been steadily dropping collaborative material on their own imprint for some time now. Known for their tech house cuts, the EP’s sound is distinctively darker in tone, but no less melodic than previous releases.
The EP’s eponymous first track Good Life, feels similarly gloomy at the beginning but becomes progressively lighter – especially once that euphoric synth kicks in around the two minute mark. The second track, Gorilla, is an exemplary tech house weapon that is every bit as raw and in your face as the name would have you believe. The instrumentation and the heavy sounding synths are aggressive and dark.
