Oh yes, it’s finally time for Steve Rachmad’s Sterac Electronics to drop the highly anticipated Things To Think About LP on our charts! The Detroit veteran teased us with a sampler back in May, but this is the final product, and it’s safe to say that you won’t find such heartfelt electro anywhere else. In fact, the majority of elector being made nowadays, which there is plenty of, seems to be dark and gratuitously macabre, but Rachmad’s got that MOJO vibe going all the way through this badboy. Tunes like “Game Changers” or “Metratron” use the unmistakable kinetic vibe associated to electro, but they do so in a way that’s funky and enjoyable for all walk of life. There are darker, more cerebral moments like “Original Pattern” or “Beyond My Wishes”, but these are still very much ingrained in a light, boogie-friendly sort of tip that keeps on giving.
