Dubai’s Jus Tadi is slowly building a quietly impressive discography. This single for Poetry in Motion comes on the back of solid outings on Hotbox Music, Sub Urban and, most recently, Fade to Funk. As with much of his previous work, “Lift Me Up” joins the dots between woozy deep house, sample-heavy disco-house and the hazy world of vintage deep house. The track bobs along on waves of hypnotic, locked-in percussion, rising and falling synthesizer lines and some choice disco vocal samples, all the while creating a mesmerizing mood. The accompanying Tete de la Course Remix drags the track further towards rich and groovy deep house territory via more bass-heavy bottom end, filtered synthesizer loops and some choice new spoken word vocal samples.
