One year ago we were very pleased to relĂ©ase “Whatever Works”; debut Ep from colombian producer Jonathan Lopez a.k.a Jonahlo, who in 2017 returns to NĂłmada Records with “Donny Bass”. Three original tracks where his inspiration and creative source was those records from our past generations that have inspired the electronic music movement.
In Genres such as Soul, Funk, Disco, Jazz and RnB; Jonahlo found out a world of sonarities and textures, experimenting with them through sampling techniques like chopping and adding raw rhythmic fundamentals and housy structures. All these ingredients make of “Donny Bass” an Ep loaded with enveloping atmospheres and deep, psychodelic and hipnotic harmonies. The relĂ©ase Includes a remix by the fellow Nomada Felipe Gordon who adds that lo-fi jazzy house sound that identifies him.
