Best of Silk Entertainment, Vol. 2 is the second in a series of compilations featuring music released under the second Silk Entertainment imprint, including a host of GRAMMY® winning and nominated remix artists such as: Mousse T, E-Smoove, Maurice Joshua, and Steve “Silk” Hurley himself.
Gems included are the full-length version of “Higher,” a Gospel House Anthem featuring Vernessa Mitchell along with the award-winning Ricky Dillard and his choir, New G., plus E-Smoove and Silk’s “Runnin’ Away” featuring the timeless vocals of Sharon Pass. Also featured are: GRAMMY® winning remixer Maurice Joshua’s soulful version of the Silk and CeCe Peniston Gospel-House collaboration “Nobody Else”, the Stacy Kidd Remixes of Silk’s “Jack Your Body” and “Glow Of Love” by Hurley and Greg Gibbs, plus the Steve “Silk” Hurley Anthem mix of DJ Kelly G’s “Go Down Moses (with vocals from Sharon Pass). His number-1 hits as lyricist include Anita Baker’s GRAMMY® winning hit “I Apologize”, Brownstone’s GRAMMY® nominated hit “If You Love Me”, Angie Stone’s “No More Rain (In This Cloud)”, the GRAMMY® nominated theme of 1996’s Set It Off “Missing You” (performed by Brandy, Tamia, Gladys Knight, and Chaka Khan) and Yolanda Adams “Someone Watching Over You”.
